1. Meg Ward (Needwant)
DJ and Producer Meg Ward gained a huge amount of momentum throughout 2021, releasing 3 singles and 2 remixes (including an acid house inspired remix of Metronomy’s comeback track ‘It’s good to be back’). We are sure that she will keep on her upward trajectory in 2022.
2. EYNKA (Stress)
Production trio EYNKA’s sound fuses techy grooves and emotive melodies that have impressed the likes of Kölsch, Claptone, and Solomun. EYNKA’s release on Stress, ‘Ascendance / Give It Up’ was one of our favourites of 2021 and was included on our ‘Best of Stress 2021’ compilation album. Keep an ear out for their masterful grooves in the coming year!
3. Human Movement (HOMAGE)
Aussie producer Human Movement has been making waves throughout 2021, releasing several singles and playing sell out shows alike. His latest release, ‘Clutch’, is a hard, old school 4 track EP and with an act as exciting and diverse as Human movement, you know he’s got some big things in the works.
4. Sorley (Moon Harbour)
With his heavy grooves and low down bass, Sorley’s sound is instantly recognisable. With releases on imprints like Moon Harbour, Woodlands and Undisputed and being as prolific as he is, we can’t wait to hear what he has coming up.
5. Yeadon (Stress)
Yeadon’s 2021 EP ‘Tell Me’ confidently straddled the line between house and trance and was another one of our favourites to be included on our Best of Stress 2021 album. We can’t get enough of Yeadon’s sound and are confident he will deliver a new set of bangers in 2022.
6. Kiimi (Hotflush Recordings)
Multi-instrumentalist and Producer, Kiimi’s, output absolutely emanates originality and creativity. With her first official singles releasing in 2021 on Hotflush Recordings (Mount Kimbie, Scuba, Joy Orbison), we can tell she is just getting started.
7. HUGO (Nervous)
Manchester native HUGO has been impressing with his club ready bangers released on Barbecue, Stress and most recently Nervous Records. He has been on the rise and you can hear clear stylistic development from record to record. We can’t wait to see where he takes it next.
8. Mr Sosa (Needwant)
Over the last two years, Mr. Sosa has made a name for himself both in the studio and behind the decks, renowned for chunky acid and catchy chords. Most recently he has released an EP on Skreams ‘Of Unsound Mind’ label and has another upcoming release on Needwant Records on January 21, 2022.
9. Dart (Shall Not Fade / Remmah)
Dublin’s Dart has been flexing his production and mixing prowess over 2021 and had the honour of contributing to Bicep’s mixtape series. He also most recently remixed Skream’s track ‘Sad Day’s and is sure to keep the goods coming through 2022.
10. AmyElle (Another Rhythm)
Producer and DJ powerhouse AmyElle has been putting out banger after banger since her first release ‘Down With Me’ in 2020. She also presents a KissFM amidst a busy DJ schedule, where does she find the time to do it all! We can’t wait to hear what she has in store for the coming year.
